The Longparish Lightweights, U18 cricketers to a man, were crowned champions of the Dummer indoor league Premier Division following an exciting winner takes all tie with champions Hook. Skipper William de Cani lost the toss and Hook opted to bat. Brad Aldridge and Ben Gardner bowled superbly and Alex Coetzee picked up the key wicket of Ben Thane to dismiss Hook for an under par 108 in the twelfth over.

 In reply Longparish lost early wickets but Alex Coetzee kept his head with an unbeaten 26 along with Michael Taplin who took the pressure off the chase with a majestic six off the bowling of Thane. Brad Aldridge and Ben Gardner eased Longparish past the target with two balls to spare with wicketkeeper batsman, Dan Pomroy, unrequired.

A fantastic double for Longparish CC who last year finished runners up and earlier this year clinched the Winchester and District indoor league title.
