Match report With the mercury on the rise, Longparish skipper Paul Blackmore won the toss and opted to bat first, putting on on 49 for the 1st wicket with George Kousseff before departing in the 13th over. Kousseff got through a couple more partners very quickly, bringing Ross Stewart to the crease with the Longparish score on 68 for 3. The two proceeded to put on 207 for the 5th wicket, Kousseff was dimissed for 105, his first century for the club, and Ross Stewart for 107, The first time in recent memory that two Longparish batsmen have passed 3 figures in the same innings. Barry Blackmore hit 41 off half as many balls against an understandably demoralised Hartley Witney II attack as BSI sponsored Longparish closed on a mammoth 330 for 6. In reply Hartley Witney II lost wickets at reasonably regular intervals, Brad Aldridge picked up 2 for 34 and Ross Stewart 2 for 20. U15 M Kerr hit a stylish 26 and Hartley Witney II Captain Rowe obviously enjoyed a Longparish track full of runs with a quickfire 52 before Barry Blackmore worked his way through the tail with 4 for 38. 551 runs scored in a day and a memorable victory for Longparish by 109 runs
