Longparish U16 were crowned champions of the Winchester & District indoor league after a narrow victory over Compton & Chandlers Ford U16.

Longparish U16 batted first and skipper Dan Bearpark was the first wicket to fall with the score on 41 in the fourth over. Jamie Blackmore hit 26 and Harry Samways an unbeaten 29 as Longparish U16 closed on 140 for 5. 

Dhariwal,30 and Sharpe 27, batted superbly at the top of the Compton batting order but wickets for Scott Sturt and Jamie Blackmore, and some tight bowling from Christian Dawson and Nathan Smith secured an 8 run win, an unbeaten league campaign and the title for Longparish U16, extending the clubs successful run in the competition to three titles and three runners up spots in the last six years.
